What is Permanent Makeup?

Creating Permanent Beauty with our semi permanent makeup procedures

Permanent Makeup is as simple as it is effective. Also known as semi permanent makeup and cosmetic micropigmentation, a term used for applying coloured pigments into the epidermal layer of the skin-enhancing Mother Nature’s gifts without ever having to reach for your makeup bag.

Women of all ages are experiencing the difference permanent makeup and micropigmentation can make. After just one treatment course of permanent makeup, you can have stunning smudge-free make-up that will last for years to come.

Eyebrows

Anyone who requires emphasis of the ‘brows’ will love this procedure and the time saved not having to pencil every day. If you have no brow hair, or sparse brows due to over-plucking you will be amazed to see the difference balanced brows can make.

Eyeliner

Make the most of your eyes with micropigmentation. From subtle to dramatic, eyelash enhancement or eyeliner can dramatically define eyes, creating great looks that are long-lasting and always perfect.

Lip Line & Lip Colour

For a truly subtle and beautiful cosmetic effect, micropigmentation is an excellent way of enhancing the shape and colour of your lips. With a skilled application, lips can look fuller and more shapely.

Useful information

Permanent Makeup – Questions and Answers

Q. Who decides the shape and colour?

A. You do. There are a vast number of colours and any bespoke colour can be mixed to complement your natural skin tones. The new shape and colour are always drawn on for your approval prior to applying the permanent colour.

Q. Is Permanent Makeup safe?

A. Yes. The strictest hygiene and sterilisation standards are followed. Everything used is new for each client.

Q. Is it painful?

A. It’s no problem for most people, a little uncomfortable for some e.g. eyebrow enhancement is compared to plucking your brows. The procedure takes about 30 – 45 minutes and many years of looking great will outweigh any momentary discomfort.

Aftercare

In some cases, there may be slight swelling or redness to the treated area, this will subside very quickly. You may resume your normal activities immediately following the procedure. You will be given aftercare instructions at your treatment. Your Permanent Makeup treatment will last for up to 2 to 3 years, by which time it will have faded. In the UAE we recommend a retouch at 12 to 18 months after the initial treatment or when you feel the micropigmentation has faded. The time permanent makeup lasts heavily depends on skin type and exposure to UV rays therefore in the Middle East permanent make up usually lasts nearer 2 years.

What’s included in our costs?

Our prices for permanent makeup procedures include 1 initial treatment and up to 1 to 2 top-ups depending on the treatment area.

Eyelash, Eyeliner, Eyebrow and Lip Liner

2 treatments sessions are required for Eyelash, Eyeliner, Eyebrow and Lip Liner – 1 initial and 1 top-up usually 4 weeks to 8 weeks from the initial treatment.

Lip Blush and Lip Colour

2 treatment sessions are usually required for Lip Blush and Lip Colour. A third treatment session is available for those requiring it. Treatment sessions are 4 to 8 weeks apart.

Permanent Makeup Pigments

Permanent Makeup Pigments (we use the term Semi Permanent Makeup) are designed to degrade over time. No semi permanent make up pigments contain blue, not even the blue has a blue hue in it. Blue pigment is often associated with cheaper body art tattoo pigment and if this is used for permanent makeup procedures, results in the horror stories we hear about where eyebrows have turned blue or green.
